Lisa Lombardo's Training Pays Off
For Pug & His New Human Family !!!

We have a pug named Atticus. From the day we brought him home, we knew we wanted him to be a loving, well-mannered member our family, so we took him to Puppy Kindergarten. The trainer in charge of this class told us that pugs are not very smart and are not easily trained. Hearing this was very discouraging and we looked for another trainer. Luckily, we found Lisa Lombardo at Bark & Browse and thanks to all that we learned during our obedience training with Lisa, we now have a well behaved pug.

Lisa sincerely cares about all the dogs and people that she trains. Lisa illustrated her sincerity to us during every class. As each dog and owner would make a breakthrough and master a challenge, Lisa would become more excited than the owner. She wants to see her students, both canine and human, succeed and feel good about what they are doing. Because of Lisa’s enthusiasm, our training was a positive experience from beginning to end.

Lisa allows you to tailor your training methods to suit your dog. For example, Atticus gets too excited when presented with a treat, so Lisa encouraged us to use a small toy as a reward for following commands.Everyone in the class learned, through Lisa’s guidance and expertise, what rewards worked the best for their dog and what type of collar their dog would respond to the easiest. When Atticus began pulling to the point of almost hurting himself, Lisa was prepared with different collars for us to try out while we were in class. The first training collar she gave us worked miracles and having it in class right when we needed it made all the difference. It was clear that Lisa’s years of experience and natural ability with dogs allow her to see what each dog needs to succeed.

We knew that all our hard work with Lisa had paid off when our friends commented on our dog’s behavior. They were all amazed at the amount of control we now have over our excited little pug. Those compliments affirmed our belief that Lisa’s methods produce results. We can now take Atticus with us to friends’ homes and know that he is going to be a well-mannered house guest who will be welcomed back for another visit. It feels good to have the dog that people praise for his good behavior and not the dog that people talk badly about for his lack of manners.

We rely on Lisa for all our dog needs not just for training. Lisa is an amazing resource for us and Atticus because whenever we need help with a new problem that arises, we know we can always go to Bark & Browse and she will stop what she is doing to work with us. We know this because we have done so several times. For every question we have, Lisa has a logical solution. Her patience and straight-forward way of explaining things make it easy to learn new training techniques. Lisa also gives us excellent advice about the best food, treats, and toys to give to Atticus.

With Lisa Lombardo, you do not just get a dog trainer; you get a dog expert who honestly cares about you and your dog.

Sincerely,
Kristen Durren and Bryan Douglas
