Can't Control the Barking Dear Lisa, My dog has gotten worse recently with barking whenever anyone enters the house or walks by the house with a dog. I'm not able to quiet him down. What would you suggest I try? Also, do you offer classes? Thanks, Barking Dear Barking, My first suggestion would be to put a leash on him when company comes over. Thank him for the first bark, then tell him enough, have him sit/stay. If he continues to bark, a quick snap with the leash, and a verbal "NO" correction. When he quiets, praise. Use this same thing when other dogs walk by your home. I have a group classes regularly with the City of Gulfport. The current class is starting on Jan 30th.
